Getting a 1000 230 gr .45 zero bullets in a trade for a good deal/price, and have a little bit on them. How is their quality? I have only used extreme and berrys so far. just using them as a plinking load for the 1911's with probably some bullseye.
Are they a plated bullet or actual FMJ? Sorry havent seen them yet, but should have them in hand tomorrow evening if all goes well. So how are they? |

Quoted:
Zero bullets are top quality and very accurate. I use their lead 185g HP for .45 target loads with excellent results. Many bullseye target shooters also use the 185JHP's. I would not hesitate taking the 230g bullets. Sweet...after a little googling seems like they are a true jacketed bullet, but then see them listed as plated? |

I haven't used them yet but have 14K 147gr FMJ's and 9K 124gr FMJ's to try out but I have read nothing but good about them and they all measure VERY consistent on ogive lengh (<= .003" variance even between lots). If you have a C&R FFL you can order direct as well and they are quite a bit cheaper.
They are jacketed as well. |

Zero are good quality bullets. I've shot thousands of them in 9mm, .38 Super, and .40S&W.
The only issue I have with them is they are out of stock on a lot of stuff for a long time. Like the back order I had for over 14 months with them 3 or 4 years ago. It was backordered so long, the credit card I ordered with expired and they had to call me back for a new one. In fact, check the website of Roze Distribution, who is Zero's distributor. I can see why they call them "Zero" bullets, because that is what they appear to have in stock... when pretty much any other supplier has at least some bullets on the shelf now. |
