I'm going to shoot some hogs tomorrow that are tearing up my duck lease. I don't really have time to work up a load for this and was wondering if anybody had a pet load for the 55gr Barnes TSX round using Varget, BLC-2, or Benchmark.

It's for an AR with 223 Wylde chamber, 16". Any help would be great. I can only seem to find loads for the 62 gr and already have my rifle sighted in for 55gr.  Thanks

There is a little info on the Barnes website:

You may not have H4895.  I realize you asked about data for other powders.   25.5 grains of H4895 works very well with the 55 grain TXS.  It is an M193 equivalent with a really good bullet.  3100 fps from a 16" carbine and close to MOA accuracy.  Barnes considers this to be the most accurate powder for the 55 TXS and I agree.

I looked on their site first and they have no data for my powders and Hogdgon only lists min/max. I only have those powders currently, they are somewhat hard to find around here

Had to use an old ballistic tip load for 308, but it worked. Did ok on ducks too. We had one day at 18deg and another at 55deg this week!

Anybody have any more input for the tsx?

I do not load a 55gr TSX yet, but my Lee manual shows 20-22.2gr of Accurate 2200.
My Lyman's #49 has nothing on that projectile.  Hodgdon's website shows 22.8-24gr
Varget.  24gr is a compressed load.

Update-got a pretty good load worked up to complete this thread. Using RRA 16" with Wylde chamber. No chrony. There are several loads and a 22 on this so you will see some odd groups but this is 100yd (ish). I know three shot groups aren't optimal but these bullets are expensive. Still surprised with the groups even off a lead sled
