Searched here and at Hogdon.
I found some H4895 in the shop. Ive never used it before.
I use Varget only for my 308 with 178 AMAX.
Im out of Varget and Id like to work up a load for my new Ruger SR762 with H4895, 168 AMAX, CCI primers.
My Lyman manual has no data on 308/ H4895.
Any help is appreciated

Thats just because its Hornady data.   Their book loads tend to be lighter than Sierra, Lyman, etc...

OP,
H4895 is my favorite powder. The data above is way slow. For 175 SMK my old F-class load was 41.8gr, CCI primer, and it .5moa or better all day at 2640fps out of a 26in barrel.

My match load these days is a lot faster with a 175 Berger out of a 30in barrel. ~2900fps with H4895, i shoot this out to 1k yds.

You won't be disappointed with this powder.

Wish I could find some H4895, I use it in 8mm Mauser, 7.62x54R and 30-06.  I haven't been able to get any in well over a year.  I've played with it a little in 308 but don't really have an established load in that caliber.

Recob's had some one pounders left as of this morning.

I picked up an 8 pounder earlier this week. All out of those now.

H4895 is a great powder.

As good as Varget. Very underrated on this forum.

Calling or emailing Sierra is always an option, they have a full time staff just for that job.

You can also take a look at Hodgon's online data for H4895 and use the data for a similar bullet if the MK is not listed.

Hornady started using piezo pressure measurement a few years back and backed their load data way down as a result.  But here's the thing to consider, their old crusher data wasn't blowing up rifles.
