[ARCHIVED THREAD] - CFE223 load

Scored me 8# of this. Had been trying h335 and was about out. I will be shooting 55 Zmax with cann out of my 16" 1-9 twist DPMS.

Anyone having real good results with this powder and bullets?

also have some 55 fmj to use with this powder

similar but didn't see anyone post about using them with the Zmax(aka vmax)

In Hornady's load manuals, the same data is provided for all bullets of a given weight.

Their 55gr FMJ, 55gr V-Max, 55gr SP, 55gr SPSX all use the same data.

Same thing with other bullet manufacturers as well.

Check here to corroborate any load data given out on the interwebs.

I've got my best groups with 27gr behind CT Nosler ballistic tips which should be somewhat comparible.

I'm loading 26.1g of CFE w/ a 55g Vmax and getting great results. Chrono @ around 2900 and seems pretty easy on the brass. Hope this helps!

I will work up and look in the area y'all mentioned. I will try to load upper end for the Vmax and find a middle load for the plinkers
