Has anyone had this when using the WFT? I'm new to reloading btw. I'm using it on 223 brass and quite a bit of it has ring marks on the brass.

Anyone think it's an issue? It seems to be mostly cosmetic and I don't feel any raises from the ring.

edit  WFT=the cases are supported by the shoulder and body of each case.  $70 to trim on cartridge. wow

That's simply the mark left by the trimmer on the case body. My Gracey does it too. It will disappear if/when you tumble your brass again.

Is that mark all the way around?  If to you may not be feeding or holding it straight.

Yea it's all the way around. Maybe I hold it at an angle long enough to make the mark. I'll have to experiment I guess.

Just tumble it again... Better yet, tumble your loaded ammo and you're sure to have pristine ammo.

I actually dry tumble, resize, trim, wet tumble, then load. Ammo looks better than factory ammo.

Edit: I use possum hollow and also see lines. It's just from the edge of the trimmer when you don't hold it strait. You could chuck it in a drill press too and have a fixed brass location to rid it as well.

The Possum Hollow trimmer does that too.

No problem, strictly cosmetic.

I use the WFT on my .223 and don't get that ring.

Are you spinning the trimmer when you put in the case? If so maybe try stopping the trimmer and then insert the case.

There is a ball bearing in the end that is supposed to keep this from happening. Maybe the bearing is locked up.

I've been using an electric drill with it constantly running and stick em in.

I get those same marks. No issues, only cosmetic, as stated prior.

If that bothers you dont use the possum lol, does the bearing spin properly on the wft?

I would just say ignore it...

Yea the bearing is spinning. I think it just might be me having the case at the slight angle to where the edge of the outside of the trimmer touches the brass and makes the mark.

Some cases have the mark and some don't so I just need to stick it in straight.
