I just read this on an ad for Lee dies;

•Warning: Do not use reloads in Glock or similar guns with chambers that do not fully support the cartridge due to the intrusion of the feed ramp.

I have a Springfield 40 cal XDM, will I have a problem?

That problem came and went a coupla' years back.  To check your gun, disassemble it to the point where you can remove the barrel.  Insert a cartridge into the chamber, and see if any of the cartridge base is visible where the feed ramp meets the chamber.  With the kind of "dangerous" chamber they mention, fired cases have a "smiley" where they expanded into the unsupported section.

the barrel on the left has an unsupported chamber. This is what you want to be looking for,

XD 40 is fine for reloads, just follow standard reloading practices.

also, IIRC, .40 is the one caliber you will not see +P loads for, for good reason.

Specifically the issue is gen 1&2 Glocks, gens 3&4 are fine. XD uses full support chamber. If you still have concerns simply don't load out to upper edge.
