A coworker brought in some Bayou Bullets in today. I haven't ever heard of em till now, but they're an interesting idea.

Has anyone had experience with these, specifically in a Glock? Do they prevent traditional leading? How fast can you push these things? Are they at all accurate?

Bayou's are GTG.

Donnie Miculek was recently swamped with orders, so it may be a while before he takes on more orders.

They don't lead like a traditional lead round does.  The green moly is fairly hard and doesn't melt like waxy lubes, and doesn't rub off by hand like black moly coated bullets.

I shoot all styles of bullets and any leading cleans right out of a barrel with chore boy copper scrubs available at Ace hardware.

They are fine in Glocks, although one voids their Glock warranty when they fire handloads out of them.

You can read several thousand posts about Glocks and handloads on the BrianEnos forums, and also you'll be able to find specific load data for most pistol bullets there as well (Bayou's included).

I run 135gr 9's and 180gr on .40's.

I think that is Jerry Miculek's brother.

They have been around a while.

A friend of mine is a sponsored bayou bullet shooter, he Reloads about 80,000 to 90,000 rounds a year with them.

I just got 6k shipped in - mix of 115gr 9mm and 200gr 45. They're good to go as far as I can tell.

I have been shooting their 9mm ball (125 grain I think) for the last few hundred rounds. Seem to run fine and I have seen no leading or accuracy issues. They seem a lot less smokey than the standard lubed lead I usually shoot.
