There isn't much published data for the SS-109.

So you have to safely improvise.

You do this by finding several sources of published data in this case;

62 gr bullet, W-748 and compare the starting and max loads.

Take an average of the starting loads and work up from there watching for pressure signs.

That is why the previous poster posted loads for a 63 gr bullet.

I suggest you start at 24.5 grs W-748 and work up.

My SS-109 loads are posted up in the tacked thread "Useful Threads".

Work up carefully, my rifle, bullets, powder, primers, and cases are not the same as you have. YMMV

Good luck.

SS109 bullets are longer than simple lead-core bullets weighing 62 grains, which changes how the bullet reacts to specific powder loads.

It is a good rule to treat a bullet that isn't found in your loading data manuals as if it were similar to other bullets of similar weight and construction, but...  Since the SS109 is longer than simpler 62 gr bullets, you should treat it as if it was heavier (it is similar in length to 69 gr lead-core bullets).

And, as always, start low and work up carefully.

Max for a 62gr FMJBT is 25.5 gr's of Win 748 with a COL of 2.260", this is listed at 223 Rem pressure of 49,200 psi, the pressure will be a little higher for the SS109 bullet but not enough to worry about.
