Are they all the same? I just remembered I broke the pin for my 7.62x54r dies, and I need to order a replacement. I'm assuming I need the "large" ones?

Or do I need the "headed" ones?

Call RCBS and tell them that you broke a pin, they will know which one you need and will get you hooked up.

Heck, they'll probably send you 4 or 5 for free.  They're pretty good about stuff like that.

Look here > http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1458321323/rcbs-decapping-pins-small
Notes on fit of other RCBS decapping dies
•Headed decapping pins for Reloader Special, Cowboy and RCBS "Precision" dies are available, Product #: 404-281
•Decapping pins for 6.5mm through 45 caliber competition dies use large decapping pins, Product #: 798-273
•The best way to determine which decapping pins are needed is to remove the broken pin from the die and examine it to see if it is a headed or straight pin.

You will need to take the stem apart  (unscrew the expander ball from the stem)... then look at the end f the stem to determine what style pin you need.

If end of stem look like a collet, then you want plain straight pin.

If a "T" head falls out of the expander ball, then you need the pin with head.

Common ID for large or small pin that I have seen is that the large pin is usually black color... the small pin is natural steel color (silver).  I just keep a bag of large and small as spares, they come in bag of 5,, I not broke a pim in almost forever that I can recall
