I just uploaded a video of how I use Access to keep track of my reloading data. It's a question I see occasionally in different forums so I was motivated to put this video up. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

looks great
I have access but have never used it. I just use excel, but will give this a shot. Seems like a much better way to keep track of all my data. would you want to share a copy with us? (minus your private info of course) So us slow people could change info and learn how everything works, instead of starting from scratch. Thanks for the video and sharing your ideas. |

I have been trying to learn Access but have been struggling with it. I'm good with Excel but not so much with Access.
Access would be the perfect choice to organize data for reloading. Any forum and most emails will likely block a database attachment. At work we add a -r to the file name to trick the filter so we can share by email. Just remove the -r when saving the file. If you figure out a way to share the database please update the original post. |

Excel does everything I need.
The Data Sort function can do wonderful things to help you with your data. I keep a separate spreadsheet (a workbook) for each cartridge type (223, 260 Rem, etc). I see no value added in merging them. Excel does all my statistics for me. Excel does good graphics, too. I typically plot MV vs Charge Wt; POI vs Charge Wt, etc. I ike to see trends and anomalies in my data. Graphing does this for me. It also gives me trendlines and their coefficients. IMO, Access is a step backwards. |

When you load, how are you labeling the rounds? Just with batch ID, or are you writing specifics on each box of ammo? Secondly, thank you for the 1080HD. I'm tired of videos that aren't HD. Also, I see you play some fairly newer games. If you're interested in Dota2 PM me, I've got a a few free gifts to handout :) |
