Glad I got that 38 conversion for my xl650

Nice 637. I will say though, after running a box of 50 through mine Friday night that mass reloads might not be an issue. It's not like shooting 357's but you still feel the lack of mass pretty quickly.

I hear that 100%, I shot about 40 rnds of my K frame +P ammo today......

Loaded up some at normal 38 pressure when I got home

also prepped 200ish 223 bass

Haven't moved tonight, but last night I actually backed my normal load of 3.0gr of bullseye under a 158gr SWC down to 2.7gr. This is pretty close to the "accuracy" 38spl load of 2.7gr bullseye under a 148 WC. Hoping to make playing with the airweght a little more tolerable. (also secretly trying to get groups like a target pistol to piss off buddies)

Loaded up 100 rounds of 45 Colt using my cast 260 gr SWC and 7.2 gr Universal. and 50 rounds of 357 Mag using 125 gr Hornady XTP and 17 gr of 2400. (The 357s sre for a new to me 586 I am picking up from my FFL tomorrow! )

I also started building a dedicated casting bench. The old table I have been using is too small and to low.

You will love the PID controller. Once I built mine I went from casting ok bullets to damn near perfect ones with ease.

Finally unloaded the pile of 223 out of the tumbler and dumped the other half the "bag" of them in.

A little later I'll make my wish list for the gun show tomorrow.

Finally took the plunge and bought a Giraud trimmer  I can't wait.  I have used my Uncles Gracey unit and it worked well,  I just decided after reading numerous reviews that the Giraud appeared to be a better option.  I'm sure I won't be disappointed, the only down side is that there is a 4-6 week waiting period, as the old saying goes good things are worth waiting for.

Thinking about redoing my bench. Move the 5 & 650 to each end, then put the other 550 in the middle. OR on the other bench with the Giraud?

Last night I finished loading up in the neighborhood of 250 rounds of .380 for my mouse gun.  On occasion we'll square off and shoot our mouse guns against each other at steal targets on the range.  The targets are 1/2 IPSC targets at 15 , 25, 35 and 40 yards.  The goal is to do one hit for one shot at each range.  It's a great exercise in the fundamentals of shooting accurately!  There's a target out at 50, 75 and 80 if needed for tie breakers.    Haven't had to go to the 75 and 80 yet!
Today I went out and practiced.  The load I use is actually a 121gr. cast  bullet on top of some HP38.  For some reason or another my little LCP likes the heavy bullet.  I do know the steel sure doesn't ring with the .380 like it does with the .45 or .357!

One of these days I'd like to file down the front sight of the LCP and mount a shotgun bead in its place.  The LCP's sights sure weren't designed with the competitor in mind!

EDIT: I should really proof read BEFORE I post, not after!

Deprimed 600 LC 5.56 cases to add the the 1000 or so I had already done.

I know pretty lame but I have been aquiring supplies little at a time, not quite ready to start reloading so just working through case prep stages slowly to kill time.

That was a great price for that mold.

Myself, went to the funshow today, will start a thread and post pics of what I found.

Yeah, he just wouldn't go $20 on it. Mold is in great shape, handles maybe not so much. From what I understand replacing them with the other style is a good option.

Now these I am especially excited to try out. Even the meplats seem perfectly uniform. And they were cheaper then SMK's

I finally got the time to start putting my bench together.  Got it framed up and will glue and screw 2 layers of 5/8" plywood on the top and 2 layers of 1/2" on the shelf below.  Trim, stain and seal and it will be done.  Looks pretty good so far and stout as hell.
