I'm going to work on my first .45 acp loads tonight.
How is federal small primer .45 for loading? Can I use the same recipie for small pistol and large pistol primed brass? What's a good recipie for bullseye powder for a 1911? (230g fmj) Thanks |

I wouldn't say that the powder charge between a small pistol primed and a large pistol primed 45acp load would be the same, but only a chronograph would give us that information for sure. I would say that you would be safe starting a small pistol 45acp load in the middle of the large pistol charge range in any decent reloading manual. I'd stay away from the hotter loads for now and I'm not too sure I'd start with bullseye on this. |
