I have an RCBS Chargemaster electronic powder measure / scale.  It works great with extruded and flake powders, but I have a problem when I use Power Pistol - a very fine ball powder.

It doesn't want to empty when I'm done loading.  The powder clings to the inside of the reservoir and REFUSES to come out until I use a brush or physically blow it out with air.

What can I do to prevent static cling?  Any ideas?

used dryer sheets and run a couple pounds of powder through it

Could you be a bit more specific?  Use used dryer sheets how, exactly?

you wipe down the hopper with them and can store the hopper with a couple in it.

also wash it out real good with some hot water and soap then dry well then the dryer sheets

I willl also wipe out the bowl of my tumbler with an unused dryer sheet. When I pour the cases and media into the seperator there is no static cling at all. Also wipe out the tub of the seperator and dont have to "scrape" the media when pouring the back into the tumber. Just makes life a little simpler.

This.

If your not the delicate type, you can also rubberband a small running "female personal pleasuring" device to shake the cylinder and keep the powder from bridging.

Between used dryer sheets and a Dillon Blue colored "toy", I have had no powder issues for a long time.

So this is yours?

Power Pistol comes with free static, I have a dryer sheet wrapped around the powder can.

Also store your PM with a dryer sheet in the hopper.

Called layman for same issue with my dps3 having drift issues and they said to do an initial clean of with windex wipe down let dry repeat 7 times then every so often. Did it and solved the static issue and no drift nor bridging.  I would give it a try it worked well for me so far. that and placing a thin rubber mat under the dispenser. give it a try

I dump some powdered graphite in mine and shake it around good. Back out the charge stem and let it get into the chamber. Dump it and run some powder through it. Don't clean it unless something out of the ordinary happens. Between the graphite and the coatings on the powder itself, no more problem.

I do not have any evidence that it is a problem but I just want to point out that using a dryer sheet on the inside of a powder measure hopper will introduce a host of chemicals to the mix. Dyer sheets reduce static by leaving behind a film of soap which traps moisture. The dampened soap is conductive and that provides the path to bleed off electrical charges. Then there are perfumes that contain who knows what. May all mean nothing, I just don't know.

The other option is something like a DiskWasher ZeroStat. That is a product that was popular back in the vinyl LP days to prevent static charges on the record surface from attracting dust. The ZeroStat uses a piezo electric crystal to generate ions. Basically an ozone generator. The ozon provides the extra electron needed by the static charge to neutralize it. O3 + 0 = O2.

Works great on the outside of an EMPTY powder measure. The ZeroStat does generate a very high voltage/spark so sticking it in a tube full of gun powder and pulling the trigger would not be a good idea.
