Hi folks....I have been reloading for about a month.  So far 1000 FMJ 9mm, 300 HP 9mm, and 1000 .40 FMJ.  No issues what so ever until I tried to load .40 XTP rounds.  So far the keep doing this.  A few have come out just fine but most are like the picture.  Ideas on what I am doing wrong?  Using a Lee Load Master

Not sure, I don't load 40, but I think there is an issue with bulging at the bottom of 40 cases. Redding makes a die to fix this

This. ... flare them more , a little at a time, until the bullet seats properly. Let us know if it worked.

Thanks for the advice......I no see exactly why I am having the problem.  Now on to how do I put a flare on it.  I was under the assumption that powder thru expanding die did this for me.  Maybe I need to lower the setting a bit.

yes, you have to adjust it to the amount of flare you want

yea ck to see if your plate is hitting the bottom of your dies on up stroke. You may need to also adjust the other dies at the same time. Load master can be a love hate relationship.
