| Do you guys shoot your brass that has dents in the shoulder from too much lube? I have some on this last batch that have some slight dents and I figure it would be fine to shoot, logic being that fireforming to an A.I. is a common practice. |

Unless it's majorly distorted it will be fine. |

Your reasoning about forming AI cartridges is incomplete. When fireforming these cases, it is critical that the intersection of the case neck and shoulder contact the corresponding location in the chamber to control headspace. True AI cases have the shoulders and the case bodies blown out to increase capacity and improve case grip on the chamber wall. This feature is the reason factory ammunition can be fired directly in the chambers without problem. |
