Starting to work up my loads for the bullets I got from RMR and I just wanted to check with you guys if you think this sounds sufficient.....

All LC 1 fired brass.  CCI small rifle primers.  Ramshot TAC.  5 loads each.

22.3 grns, 22.9 grns, 23.4 grns, 24.0 grns, and 24.5 grns.  I got this out of my Lee data book and looking at the Ramshot website for start and max values.  Book states COL 2.22

Sounds good or am I missing something?

Thanks for helping the rookie

This is out of the revised Lee manual. It says 2.23 OAL. Hope this helps.

Ramshot states COAL of 2.260" with M-855 bullets.

Your loads are solid .223 Remington loads, though I would change the primers if you were thinking of pushing the round.

LOL, I made a typo too.

It is 2.223 and not 2.23!

My load for the Privi M855 that wideners sells is 24.5gr of tac with a 2.25 col.  It will shoot 1.5moa groups for 3 and 5 shot groups.  10 sho tgroups open it up to about 2.5moa because I am not really a good shot that many times in a row, ha ha.

I seat SS-109's to mid cannelure, case trimmed to 1.750. I crimp these loads, most loads I don't.

Mag length is 2.260, I like to be around 2.250 to be sure each round will feed from mag without fail.

I suggest you go to a thicker cup primer if you want to work your load up to its full potential.

CCI, 450, CCI 41, Rem 7 1/2, Wolf SRM (KVB556M). I use the Wolf primer.

Don't work up your load any higher until you change primers.

Don't expect stellar accuracy, these are not match bullets. I get 2 to 2 1/2 inch 10 shot 100 yard groups.

I have found the bullets with pull marks shoot as good as the ones without pull marks.

Tac is my powder of choice with these bullets.

Good luck
