Ive been reading all i can and am interested in opinions as to where to start. tha cals. im interested in  loading are 50 bmg, 338 rum, 7.62x54r, 7mm, and .308. I know bmg will mean another press but what press for the rest? i dont want to spend a fortune and dont shoot alot. I would like a simple press and setup. i like the look and price of the lees and all my ammo will be plinking/hunting not target quality but ive heard the lees dont last to long. also, am i being to ambitious trying to learn on such large calibres? thanks for any imput even if you tell me to give up and go buy some bullets.

The LEE Classic Cast single stage press will probably work for you.  Don't buy one of the aluminum bench mounted presses made by LEE.  I don't know if the throat is sufficiently deep for .50 BMG.

Did you read all the information at the top of the forum?

With that list of calibers, start with 308. Will also cost less for components.
