| With the Loadmaster one of the weak links is definitely the cheap plastic priming system. So what other options are there. Is there another system to mount on it? If you go the hand priming rout then how does that work? You take the shell casing out after depriming and the how do you not deprime the brass without removing the 1st stage? It seems like this method makes having a progressive press pointless. |

Like several times just in the last couple months. Lee has been actively responding to issues with the Priming system.
To answer your question... some folks are hand priming in batches. Not necessarily because they have to, but rather because they choose to- even when using other presses. Then you just run 'em thru the progressive without priming. This of course assumes that your process is to decap then tumble/clean before resizing.. |

Still Made of plastic though which I always thought was the weak point of the priming system. I'll probably just stick to priming in batches with my auto prime. |

The key to loadmaster priming happiness is cleanliness. The primer system must be kept clean and clear from powder, which spills from the powder measure or jumps out of a filled case. WW296 is THE WORST for me. 2400 and bullseye are no problem.
Keep a brush and vaccum handy and keep the powder spills to a minimum and I have few problems. Out of 348 357 mags yesterday, I had 2 sideways primers. |

Primer feed assembly has been updated. Order the new assembly. When was it updated? mine is only 1 1/2 years old. What did they change in it to improve it? The new primer system has an updated slider. No crushed parts anymre. Awesome. Thanks for the info. |
