Can anyone tell me if it comes with a funnel suitable for .223 cases?  That may be the one necessary thing I forgot to order.

Mine didn't come with any funnel at all so I think I've answered your question. ;)

Doh!   Back to ordering. Prolly end up paying 3x in shipping for what a funnel costs. Guess i should see what else I can tack on to make it worth my while. Sooo...whats a good funnel?  How are the scale tray had sex with funnel hybrids?

I use this funnel.  They are caliber specific but the powder does not spill out around the mouth of the case like other funnels I've tried.

I was looking at that. Any validity to the reports of powder getting caught on the seam between the brass and aluminum?  I'm contemplating making my own with a hardware store funnel a piece of cut .223 brass.

I use the plastic Lyman funnel for my reloads. Works great for all calibers and powders I use.

I still use the RCBS funnel that came with my starter kit. Although it has a slight split in it due to forcing it over 25 WSSM brass

ETA, btw I just bought myself a chargemaster for xmas, and I'm liking it a lot so far.

If you have a piece of paper and some tape, you should be just fine till you get something nice.
If you use heavy paper, and make the opening just small enough to get into the case mouth, you will be okay. The stick powders can bridge, but the point is you can clear the funnel with a little technique.
