Is there any reason why I should separate my LC headstamps by year.
If I do is it that I have headstamp OCD?

Yes, that is OCD
The only sorting I do on brass is by military or commercial.

All depends on what you intend to load in your cases.
If you have a lot of a certain year, set them aside to use in precession loads. For me it's LC 00.
If you are loading a FMJBT, mixed years won't matter at all.

You should sort them by year...case capacity may surprise you.

Ok, are we talking 223 or 308?
I was talking about 223.

If you can beat this accuracy, then sort them by year. I don't sort them and this is what I can do with mixed year LC brass, no neck turning, no primer uniforming, and loaded in bulk using cheap Hornady bullets bought in bulk.

For precision loads, I only sort the LC brass by weight after fully prepping them.
