| What's the most accurate powders you've played with in 300 WSM and 180 gr bullets? I'm looking for something that's not temperature sensitive as well. |
| I think my gun just did not like 4350(@2”+ groups), H414 did ok (@1.25”-1.5” groups), but ok is not good enough for me (these were groups shot at 100 yards). I sent an e-mail Ramshot and talked to their ballistician and he pointed me towards Hunter. Hunter has been money every since. The bullets I have been shooting are the Barnes 165 TSX and Hornady 165 SST, they both print 1” or less (5 shots) at 200 yards with sand bags off the bench. |

I may have to give hunter a shot. |

I load for three 300WSM rifles, Ramshot Hunter all the way with 180gr bullets. Did you play around with any other powders before settling on Hunter? Yes, MRP, MagPro, 7828, all three 4350's, R-17, R-22, -R-19, 414, and the 4831s. I'm sure I forgot a powder or two. In my rifles Hunter outperformed them all in both accuracy and velocity. YMMV |
