This old re-loader has been handed down for generations. Now a new problem. Which twin grandson's of mine to pass it to. I Know how much Dryflash likes pictures of old reloading equipment. This kit will load 12 or 16-gauge.

Balance beam Gold Rush scale I got from dneal33. Still has old strings and some wire on one end to balance scale. Weights are neat also. 
The 36 cal, .356 round ball mold. The 2 balls on the right have had the sprues trimmed with the built in sprue cutter. 
Whole batch I cast. I had light gloves on and the handles did not get too hot, I was surprised. |

Its hard to see in the picture and I will try to add a updated picture. The hinged gadget is for inserting a new "cap" or what we would call a #209 primer. Actually works pretty slick. The tool at the bottom of Wingman26's photo is the same primer insertion tool shown as a side view. Thanks for posting your set Wingman26. Not bad technology for the 1840's. Now I need to dig out my much more recent 45-90 cartridge loader from the 1870's. |
