This old re-loader has been handed down for generations. Now a new problem. Which twin grandson's of mine to pass it to. I Know how much Dryflash likes pictures of old reloading equipment. This kit will load 12 or 16-gauge.

Wow, you are correct sir. Nice pic.

That roll crimper is sweet. Wad punches, wooden wad pushers, case for tools good.

On the right, what is that tool with the hinge in the middle?

Thanks for posting.

Balance beam Gold Rush scale I got from dneal33. Still has old strings and some wire on one end to balance scale. Weights are neat also.

The 36 cal, .356 round ball mold. The 2 balls on the right have had the sprues trimmed with the built in sprue cutter.

Whole batch I cast. I had light gloves on and the handles did not get too hot, I was surprised.

My Dad told me these belonged to my Great Grandfather.

Its hard to see in the picture and I will try to add a updated picture. The hinged gadget is for inserting a new "cap" or what we would call a #209 primer. Actually works pretty slick. The tool at the bottom of Wingman26's photo is the same primer insertion tool shown as a side view. Thanks for posting your set Wingman26. Not bad technology for the 1840's. Now I need to dig out my much more recent 45-90 cartridge loader from the 1870's.

That's the same item on the bottom on my photo.

I would like to get my hands on a complete set.  The crimp tools are hard to find, the priming tools seem like they are all over.
