I have inherited a 'Pacific Super Delux' reloading press circa late 60's, how are they? any faults or things to look out for? I have never even looked at reloading is this an ok unit to learn on? Is it compatible with dies and such that I'll find at the store now?

Thanks

Just lubricate it and put that press to work. Bolt it to a solidly built reloading bench.

Dies on the left are standard reloading dies, they will fit your press Any place that sell reloading equipment will have these.

On the right are Dillon dies for their Square Deal B press. Not everyone will have these.

Unless you buy antiques these are the only dies you will find.

So just get standard FL (full length) dies.

Pacific was a low end reloading equipment manufacturer, above Lee but lower in overall quality than the rest of the industry.  Their products are certainly useable, I think I have a set of Pacific dies and a Pacific pistol powder measure which used drilled rotors that aren't available anymore. Your Pacific press should be compatible with other brands of reloading dies etc.  Pacific was bought out by Hornady at some point.

I got some more stuff now, It's a Pacific press, but the die's and shell holders I have are RCBS and Hornady with a Redding powder measure.
