Hi,
Can someone recommend a funnel for 223 that won't dump powder all over my bench? I have currently have a Lee funnel that is supposed to work on all case sizes but does not work well with the small neck of the 223....
Thanks! |

Satern funnels are pretty awesome. |

That's odd, I have never had an issue with my Lee funnel. Could be coming.. dont recall what material the red funnel is, the RCBS funnel will over time allow the full OD neck diameter of 22 centerfire to slip right through the hole in the funnel,,, so I bought another,, and it passed the necks shortly after. Thus I took and glued the top of a 223 case into the old funnel, it gets used for 223 and 22-250 here,, the new funnel gets used for my 30-06 cases. |
Midway sells this funnel with 16 different inserts for many calibers. Notice it sitting on a case without support? The drop tube shown in this pic can also be removed if not needed. Link |

My RCBS is getting pretty worn. I'm starting to get some spillage on .224 cal stuff if I'm not really careful, myself. |

I also use the Saturn funnels, I have three of them caliber specific and their universal with isn't worth a crap because the neck ID on it is huge so the funnel has to be held by hand when powder is poured into the funnel, Midway sent it to me by mistake or i wouldn't even have it.
I also have the MTM drop tube funnel that looks like the Midway funnel DryFlash posted above, it works good but I only use it with compressed charges of stick powder. |
