I purchased some HSM round nose plated 230 grain bullets awhile back and I can't find load data for them anywhere! It seems like if you go any higher than 1.225 they start to stick in the leade of my HK USP45. Anyone else use them and have good data? I've looked in all of my reloading manuals, but can't find anything on RN plated bullet types. I've heard that you should use data from lead bullets, but all of those average around 1.240 COAL.
Heres my load data so far. All of these are a go in the barrel and don't stick. HSM RN plated bullet 5-5.3 grains of Unique CCI LPP 300 COAL 1.225 |

Ok, let's tackle your issue backwards... backwards being let's visit where you've been. What manuals and/or on line sources have you used ? We'll get an answer using you're sources.
Also, using caliper. Tell me how long your bullet is ? How high is bearing surface ? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
