Does anyone know a good way to dry out powder?  I made the mistake of leaving my powder in the dispenser and trickler during a late seasonal wet snow.  Shop got a lot of humidity in it, and then when I went to load the powder again, it clumped and didn't flow well.  Also the weight of the same volume went down surprisingly.  Only way I can figure this is that the powder granules absorbed the moisture and swelled up more than the weight of the increase in volume of the powder.

Air dry. Or, take a few sheets of paper towel, pour the wet powder over the towel, and then put another few sheets on top (and then something to weigh it down)- let the towels absorbs the moisture.

Or–– put the powder into a sealed jug with one of those silicon packets. But keep an eye on it to make sure the silicon doesn't absorb too much water and then end up regurgitating it out.

I'm as cheap as the next guy, but with gun powder, I think I'd just spread in the planter and call it a day.

What are we talking about...$5-$10 worth of powder?

Blowing up yourself, or your gun probably isn't worth that, pre-hindsight and all.

Life lesson #237 learned.

Smokeless won't absorb water.  Spread it out on paper towels as described above in a dry room.  It will be fine.

You could try a few packets of silica gel in the container.  Just don't go loading with the silica gel as it could interfere with the measure.
