After pulling about 25 bullets with an old RCBS kinetic, I decided there has to be a better way.

I know, institute better QC in the first place...but aside from that.

Any suggestions?

Hornady cam lock.

Mistakes happen its catching them that is important.

LEE is coming out with something new that looks very interesting as well.

I'm still using one of the older kinetic bullet pullers.

I put a tire inflation valve cap in the bottom, so if I have to disassemble rounds, the bullet hits the valve cap and isn't damaged, the powder is reusable also.

Fast and easy.

+1  The cam lock is awesome.  Works fast, leaves no pull marks.

I am using a RCBS collet puller in a Lee Turret press.
Faster than the hammer type.

I have a cam-lock puller for each caliber I reload, sure it's easy to change the collate but even easier to just grab the right one and use it.

+1 for Hornady

I have a Quintetics and RCBS's collet style puller. I purchased both of them over twenty years ago. The collet style is much more expensive because you have too buy caliber specific collets for every round you load. They are great for not spilling powder.

Using any spacer in the hammer style will reduce lead bullet damage. Most of the time they are undamaged anyway. The hammer style works much more efficeintly if you smack it on something hard like a cement basement floor. Any give at all in the strike's surface dramatically reduces it's effectiveness. It's important that the bullet and hammer swing lands at a 90 degree angle to the floor for maximum pulling power.

The RCBS works fine, but the Hornady is faster and a better design. But it didn't come in a box, so I put it into a RCBS box.

With a collet puller, you will need a collet for each caliber.

They will pull bullets without leaving a mark if you don't over tighten the collet.

Beware of using the hammer type on pistol rounds.
Had to pull some 357 once and the lead core seperated from the jacket.
I can assume that they also do the rifle the same way with a heavy crimp.
