Was thinking about getting a lee Pro Auto-disk measure, and using it without mounting it on a press, but separate in it's own stand.
Can this be done? or just not worth it. I thought maybe the Pro Auto-disk would be better than the Perfect powder measure with the drop system. Anyone try this method? Thanks. |

I don't see how it would work, since this measure is designed to be actuated by a case...
IMHO, if you want a separate mounted powder throw get the lee perfect powder measure. It is probably more accurate, is cheaper, and throws stick powders, like varget, much better. - AG ETA... they are on sale right now at midway. I love mine. There are 100 reviews on them and the average rating is 4 stars. Lee Powder Throw |

I agree. The Auto Disk isn't made to work as a stand alone powder measure. But the Auto Disk isn't that great of a powder measure to begin with!
The Perfect Powder Measure is by far better than the Auto Disk, and there are many other stand alone powder measure's that would be better than the Auto Disk! With that said, you COULD manually activate the Auto Disk with some small modifications, But again why would you want to? -Masta |
