I have a small amount of .308 150 Gr flat base (approx 1000) that are machine pulled and need to be sized. How do the lee dies that are made for cast bullets work for this task?

They would work great and work fast.  You can size a bullet as fast as you can pull the handle on the press.

FWIW, I use the Lee .329 dies to swage down .338 bullets for the 8x56R cartridge.

These dies are a real bargain.

Do you make the .009 change in one step? I had a hell of a time sizing .311 down to .308 as part of an experiment.

ETA: OP the Lee die will work just fine for your purpose.

Wht do you feel they must be resized just because they were pulled? Usually the pull marks won't hurt a thing, mostly because they are too high on the bullet to touch the bore.

These bullets were a bargain, but they are oval, so much that I dont think they can be seated without crunching the neck.

You may or may not get them round again by sizing with the Lee die.  Brass spring back after sizing could be a problem.  Then it would be a question of seeing how they shoot.  They can be used if a little lop sided, but may not be accurate.  However, the Lee die is cheap and a thousand bullets is a nice resource so go for it and see what happens.

Curious about this as well.  Was given 1K SS - 109's in trade for a couple box's of Speer FMJ's.
Seems like quite a squeeze.  What lube / press

I had some bullets like that and tried to resize them and they didn't fly very will.
