I have 6000 115 grain double struck plated berrys bullets. I have 4 pounds of 700x and need to come up with a load for these rounds. On the berrys website it said to load them like they are lead rounds due to the soft copper coating. Has anyone had any luck with this combo? Thoughts on the berrys bullets?

Is that with 700x Quoted:
i use 4.1 grains behind 115 and 124 grain bullets from berrys Sounds like 9mm data from the bullet weights. Is that the caliber you want data for? eta, From Lyman #49, 9mm 120 gr cast bullet #356402, FC brass, OAL 1.110, powder 700X. It's fine to use 120 gr lead bullet data for 115 gr lead bullets. Start, 3.6 grs for 1031 fps Max, 4.0 grs for 1115 fps |

If I start on the low end of this, around 3.6 or 3.7 will it cycle in my Glock 17?

Thanks "They are soft lead, but have a hard outer shell on them. When loading plated bullets we have found best results using low- to mid-range jacketed data in the load manual." That is what it says on Berry's website, almost opposite what you said? Sierra reloading manual has 700x loads in it. I use Berry's bullets exclusively and they work great, and I use FMJ load info. |
