The other day someone asked this question & some guys had some very interesting looking data for a 90gn bullet but I can't find the post anyplace.
Could the posters re-iterate the information pertaining to alternate bullets (I think it was a small SP bullet) & powder combos? Thanks, MLG |

According to Mike Venturino's article in Dec. 2008, p.46 Handloader's Journal, the 90 XTP and 110 JHP would not feed "...AT ALL..." in his .30 carbine.
He got three bullets to work other than the MilSurp: 110 RN-FMJ, 110 RN-JSP, and 110 all linotype LRN. Also, he stated that a taper crimp was important. He added some folks may want to polish or modify their feed ramps, etc. to get other bullets to feed, but he wanted to keep his bone stock. |
