I have been watching videos and readign manuals and my head is starting to hurt! Im not even kiddin!
First of all i purchased the Lee breach lock reloading kit. Now i got the Lee deluxe rifle die set for .223 to go along iwth it. Now i just watched a couple videos and i want to make sure i have this straight. According to the Lee manual the deluxe rifle die kits do not need lube, is this correct? |

I never used a lee die except a decapper.
I HIGHLY DOUBT YOU CAN GO WITHOUT CASE LUBE IN ANY FULL LENGTH SIZING DIE FOR RIFLE CASES. EVEN CARBIDE DIES. If I'm wrong due to something new in the die world I'm all ears but otherwise you need some lube. I've been reloading over 20 years and I'm still learning all the time. ETA- The only dies where lube isn't necessary are carbide dies straight walled pistol cases like .38 special, .44mag., 9mm. |

(Pistol cases like 9mm, 38, 45 ACP, and others) Bottle neck cases like the 223 have to be lubed, or cases will stick in the die. |

The Lee Delux die set comes with Three dies. A bullet seating die (No Lube), a Lee Clollet Neck Die(No Lube) and a Lee Full Length Sizing die (Yes Lube).
If your 223 is a semi-auto then I would suggest you forget about the Collet Neck die and use only the Full Length sizing die. Neck sizing for autos is a bad idea. |
