Anybody have any experience loading light bullets in .308? I'm loading for a DPMS LR308T.
I shot the DPMS Tri-gun this year and talked to several competitors who told me they were using 125-135 grain bullets in their 100-200 yard ammo. The idea is that lighter bullets recoil less and higher velocity makes comps work better. |

The idea is to get the splits down as fast as you would shooting minor/223.
This forum really is not the place for 3gun reloading; almost none of the shooters here participate in 3g nor do they understand it. Try the 3gun forum - and the 3gun reloading forum section at www.brianenos.com |
| I worked up some loads for the 110gr VMax and got sub-moa groups. My gun is a factory Remington VSSF that was accurized by Brad Stair at Wasatch Precision. I added a Bell and Carlson Stock and Shilen Match Trigger. I was really suprised the light bullets shot as good as they do in the .308. |

Try the 3gun forum - and the 3gun reloading forum section at www.brianenos.com I didn't realize there was a section for 3 gun reloading on BE's site. I posted the same question on the rifle/shotgun reloading section and got less info than I did here. You are right about the kind of info I'm looking for. I wasn't aware that nobody here would have any knowledge of 3 gun or what it consists of as far as equipment goes. Since you seem to know what I'm talking about, any suggestions? |
