Hi all. I bought 500 of these bullets from Widener's.
Any one have any idea how accurate these will be with proper load development. I will fire them from a 16" RRA 1/8 ?

They are about 3 moa bullets. I wish they were less but they are not. I have tried almost every FMJ 62 grain open lead base and they are all about the same.  I just use them for plinking at 50 yards with the aimpoint or iron sights.

If you're looking to develop an accurate load, those aren't the bullets you want.

I've used Armscor 62gr FMJBT.  Expect around 3 MOA, give or take depending on your barrel's likes / dislikes.  Not accurate enough for competition, but certainly more than sufficient to repel the evil milk jugs.

Even with Varget, about 2.5 to 3 inch 10 shot groups at 100 yds.

A great blasting/fun/plinking/SHTF bullet.

For target bullets, try Sierra Match Kings, any weight.

I have these as well, using H-335 I can hit a steel plate at 500yds with open sights along with my ACOG, my barrel is 1/7.

I had real good luck with that wideners loaded with 25.7 grains of H335 in a LE6920 with leupold VXIII jagged holes at 100 yards with 20 round mags emptyed.Yes it was off of sand bags and a bench and it is the only ar I got that will do it with that load the other four shoot about 2 to 2.5 moa with that load.

The above posts are comparable to my own findings - even with the lead core bullets in my normal AR group 3" or worse.  In my NM rifle, I've gotten it get it down to 2", but that's still not so impressive.

If you want low cost FMJ ball, I suggest the bulk Hornady 55 gr bullets, as those are very well made and and are good for around 1.5 MOA.

I tried several load varations of the Armscor 62 grain bullets and was getting about 4 moa at best.  Was hoping for better, but I guess they will become "fun" rounds.  I did have some good luck with 55 gr Hornady FMJ like one of the previous posts.

Yep, they're my plinking rounds... ~3MOA out of my .6MOA match rifle... A little more out of my carbine...
