Back in the mid 90s I reloaded a lot of pistol rounds. After work picked up and I slowed down on the hobby I had around 10k of small pistol primers from the mid 90s stored in the ammo cans in the a/c house.  I have 6k of cci  and  5k of wsp  , some are magnum.

A range officer that shoots cowboy matches wants to buy them. I told him I would rather trade them for reloading components than sell them. He has no projectiles for 223, so I asked about one time fired brass as alot of leo use the same range. He said that might work, but how many per K.

The only way one could tell that the primers are 15 years old is that I always write the date and source of the 1k boxes when I buy them. They all look new.

If I trade them for one time fired brass what would be a fair deal for both of us per thousand primers, or what would be a fair price for perfect 15 year old small pistol primer ?

I have explained the age and great storage conditions to him and he is ok with those. I would just like to pick up more brass and projectiles or powder but have no idea what would be fair to the guy.

He's a poor working stiff like me and I want to be fair with him.

 Thanks for any advice,  Dave

Primers are about 30.00 per thousand, the age makes no different to a point, and yours aren't there yet. The 223 once fired is about 75.00 per thousand or 90.00 with shipping. Mine has always
arrived tumbled and clean. I am shooting some primers I bought in a store that closed in 1971. Out of 200 I have had one ftf and I handled all of one  batch as the lid popped off my primer tray and
they splattered.
