Reloder 15, AA#2230, IMR 4064 in larger capacity cases...Benchmark, H335, H380 in larger capacity cases, TAC, IMR 4320 My point is that it may be time to broaden your powder choices...out of the ones I mentioned above, I like RL15 and the IMR powders...Benchmark works well in the .223 case. |

i just bought some Varget at the local Cabela's today. sales guy said they have plenty. oh........it was $23.95/lb
if you can't find Varget, try H4895....shoots the same as Varget in my .308 Rem. 700. same powder charge weight, POI is slighty different, but not that big of a deal. |

All my large powder loads get scaled. If it goes in a precision rifle I trickle them to where I want them. If it's for a 147 grain USGI duplicate, within a tenth or two is good enough.
I have loaded .308 on my progressive but I knocked that out when I got into heavy match type bolt guns. I still run 55 fmj .223 loads on the progressive along with all my pistol loads. |

wow! I have noticed that powder and primers are really high out west. I live in north carolina. The highest I have seen 4064 and varget is
$21 dollars a lb and 135 for 8#. powders, and primers are starting to show up on a regular basis here. I hope it is a sign of things slowing up. That or ppl are just starting to run out of money lol. |

On cabela's website it says 0-1 week back order for 1lb. Never ordered powder from them myself but if you have a store near you id assume getting it shipped there would cut out the hazmat fee. I scored 2 lbs of it yesterday at the local walmart and left another 10 sitting on the shelf so maybe check walmart too. They had like 5k large pistol primers too, i bought 1k. Pretty sweet considering i went there for printer ink lol. |

How much is the Low Price Guarentee store selling varget for? |

Are you guys "hand loading" each case?? I have found that Varget meters like shit in my Dillon. I know its supposed to be a very accurate powder, but that is all a moot point if it wont meter well. I've got some Varget I'm going to try out. On my 550 H4895 would throw within .3 or .4gr on each charge. I measured each charge so it didn't matter too much. I curious to see what Varget will do. I've had the same experience with Benchmark. |
| $24 for the varget and $30 for the primers they are cci large pistol. I was suprised to say the least, hell i didnt even know they sold reloading supplies til a month ago then i go in and see a bunch of varget and primers. I dont think they sell much either cause they have had the same 10 jugs of both IMR 4350 and 4831 since i first saw they had powder. Hopefully they get some rifle primers soon. |
