I bought some .45 ACP cast 200gr SWC's last week at the gun show and I just noticed that .451 has been crossed out and .452 written in.
Whats up with that? Does it matter?

Lead bullets for .45ACP are 0.452" in diameter, while jacketed bullets are 0.451" in diameter. You want those bullets to be 0.452".

Don't worry, you are GTG.

Assuming they actually measure .452
Might be good to verify.

I looked at a box that I bought a year ago and its marked (printed) .451.
I squibbed one a while back and according to the considerable effort it took to knock it out, I'm thinking + -.001 wont mean much one way or another.

They will shoot fine, but as you run them a little hotter, leading has the potential to be greater. I use 357 lead bullets in my wheelgun to no ill effect, when I should be using 358. I'm sure 45 would be even less trouble.

Depending on the gun, they might not chamber.

.451 = jacketed ammo
.452 = lead ammo
.454 = different barrel (.45 colt and .454 casull iirc)
.458 = rifle barrel

.45 colt and .454 use .452" bullets according to my current Hodgdon manual.
