Of course, like everyone else, I cannot find a primer locally to save my life.  So I did an inventory tonight to see where I stand.  It looks like I'm pretty good with large and small rifle (though I really need another 5k SR to be able to load all of my 5.56 and 30 Carbine projectiles), but I'm pretty low on small and large pistol...around 1k of each!  Yikes!

Are any of the online primer sellers taking backorders or lists for primers?

I am running low. 3.5k small rifle
                           1.2 k large rifle
                           1 K large pistol
                           .75 K small pistol

Large pisol will be gone after this weekend after Ioad 1000 LSWC that I cast over the past week. 200 gr in .45.

grafs is taking backorders i think.

but they wont hold stuff to complete your hazmat order

for example,

order 5K SP and 5K of SR.

If the SP comes in, they will ship it out immediately.  If the SR comes in two days later, they ship it then.  you get stuck with 2 hazmat fees.

So make sure you order enough to make the hazmat worth it.

10k small rifle and about 8k of pistol/large rifle.  I have 5k small pistol and 15k small rifle on backorder.

I'm just fine for small pistol, small pistol magnum, small rifle, bench rest small rifle, large pistol, and large pistol magnum.

Many have laughed at us for building up our inventories over the last 4 years (at super low prices).  Now they see what we were saving for.

Primer levels will catch up.  They always do.

I just called local shop and had them hold 2k Winchester SP primers. I've never used them before and have been using Wolf for a while now, but at this point I get what I can. They have imposed a 2k limit per day on purchase because one person would come in and buy 20k and clear them out. I am thankful because I never have enough extra cash to buy more then a few k at a time.

Powder Valley showed all primers out of stock.  But it did let me put them in a cart and place an order, so I am hoping they take it as a backorder.  I put in a comment requesting such.  We'll see!

Yep, just put 5K of small pistol primers on B/O with Grafs. Also ordered 3K more from my local shop. Really hurting for SP primers, down to my last 1.4K. I think I might have to start shooting more 22LR. I wonder how the supply situation is for that......

22LR are in short supply too.

I just paid $32 per k of WSP primers. Since I had them held for me I felt obligated to buy.

Dude, I'm paying $34/1k for WSP primers....but at least they have them in stock locally...

I much prefer paying $24/k for Wolf primers. Hopefully they will have some at the gun show this weekend that I can grab.

10K Wolf SRP, 4K CCI 41 remaining.

Snapped up the Wolf  after it was posted in this forum... but don't worry, i'm giving 5K to a newbie reloader at cost so he can get started.

I KNEW I should have bought more CCI 41 at $21 a pop less than a year ago...

At the last local gunshow, only primers I saw were Wolf Small Rifle Magnum and they were selling for $35/k.  Not to me, though.

Locally, primers tended to run about $27-30 per 1k, so if I get 5k at $24/k plus hazmat, I'm still even.

I haven't found any wolf primers but I can find federal locally and they are running 35 a k. I'd much rather have the CCI that were only 27 per k.

The shop i get mine from will only sell people 200 at a time for now untill supply comes back up. He has not raised his prices at all and he has tons in stock to keep us weekend shooters going    I can still pick up a pound of h335 and cci 400s whenever i go there.

I'm at 3K of WLP - since I've only got about 1.5K .45 projos remaining (waiting on an order from Berrys), I'll take that for now.

If I could only find some SP primers so I can start reloading 9, though... have the dies coming, and that same order from Berrys should contain 9mm bullets (ordered in anticipation), but I can't find the primers anywhere!

I have bought a few thousand extra at the new $32 price pt.  But not many.

Dealer price at grafs is only up a dollar or so since October per K.

I am debating putting in a big order for SP and SR and just waiting.

6K Federal 205M's
5K Wolf SRM
5K Rem 7 1/2's
6K Fed LP Match

3K WLR

Feeling reasonably comfortable for now...
