Does Starline ever run sales? I'm thinking of getting some of their .444 Marlin brass, but i can wait til blackfriday if it will likely be discounted. ETA this is somewhere between a question and WTF, but I could start a thread if preferred. |

American Reloading has dumped over 600 pounds of medium burn powder up for around $30/lb. Seems to all be ball powder too, in the BLC2/Win748/Varget burn range. Oh how I miss the days of $12.50/lb WC844. |

I don't know if this an error in their system. But you can get 6000 Hornady 55gr SP varmint bullets for $321 after you add to cart. Which ends up being 5.35 cents per bullet. That is like half price from what they normally are. If they have the cannelure, they would just about have to be the #2266B, which is the 6k bulk pack of soft point boat tail, and they are a fantastic cheap plinking and varmint bullet. I can easily get 1moa, (or less with the right rifle) out of them, which in my opinion is excellent performance for the price. I actually like them a little better than FMJ, as the soft point makes them a little more versatile (in my opinion) as they work great on soft targets, while being cheap enough for use a plinking and blasting ammo. Plus in my testing, are also more accurate than the same FMJ's. There is also the #2265, which is a flat base version of this bullet, but I have not seen them offered with a cannelure. But even if they were the flat base bullets, it is still a excellent price for brand new quality bullets. Here is a older thread of mine and one poster put up some pictures of the 2266 that was flat base instead of boat tail. So who knows what we will get ordering these from AR, as they do not list the part number. It is as if they removed the listing completely. That kinda makes me wonder if it was a mistake, or just a one time "flash sale". Interesting to see the listing back, but with a more normal price. I also got a shipping email from fedex saying mine shipped. At first I was confused as it says I was getting a shipment from a place called CSSI, but the package was 49 pounds. I looked up the place and from what I can tell, they appear to be a distributor. They also share the same address as Natchez shooting supply. I put 1 and 2 together and assume it seems AR is drop shipping the bullets to me from that distributor. |

Same 2266B part number. 55gr soft point boat tail with cannelure. These are great cheap plinking bullets and can hold really good accuracy from the right rifle with the right load. I was wondering if anyone else got in on the deal. For the price they had them listed, if you do any amount of bulk reloading, it was too good of a deal to pass up. |

@colt100 was looking for 30-06 brass but his thread was closed. My suggestion would be for him to use AmmoSeek.com to find the LC or Lapua brass he was asking about. There are suppliers for once-fired LC 30-06 brass in various conditions - dirty, cleaned, cleaned & deprimed, cleaned & primed. Lapua seems to be available only in unfired (new) condition. |

Midway has "factory seconds" bullets on sale for about 1/2 the price of factory firsts. They might, maybe, could be, look like Sierras bullets but they are sold in bulk packaging. This LINK will get you a starting point for access to their various factory seconds. |

If you want Lapua brass, buy Berger factory ammo. They load using Lapua brass, and I’ve found it to be excellent ammo. Berrys has seconds 62gr fmj projectiles for dirt cheap. I dont know how they shoot as i haven't loaded any. But i bought 3k of them figuring if they suck, ill use them for close range practice. |
