I'm just getting ready to load and I'm going to use the CCI#34 primers.  I know that they are considered by most to be a magnum primer.  How much do you lower your powder load by to compensate for this?  Is there a percentage that puts you in a good spot, or is it ok to begin with the start charge in my book and go from there? I've loaded a good amount of ammo but never used a magnum primer before.  Thanks,
Eric

if unsure about any one component in your reloading recipe its advisable to drop your load by 10% from the Starting load data and work up.

Yeah I know that.  I'm more worried about a spike in pressure,  Maybe 10% isn't enough.  It kind of frustrates me that the boxes don't say magnum primer.  They just say CCI # 34  for 7.62 nato 7.62x39 and .30/06.  My fault for not doing my homework though.
