any input would be great.

There are a few threads in the last month month and a half. All seems good except the #1 shellplate doesn't work for .45 acp like it used to. You need the #45 shellplate for it to eject properly. Other than that it seems to work very well. I just ordered the new conversion kit from Hornady. Should be ready to ship in a couple weeks. There is a thread with the links on the first page right now.

A link from an early return to Hornady.

There are a couple more threads somewhere.

I've got it. Works great with the right shellplates as mentioned about the #45 one....

I'm a brass whore and will reload just about any disgusting .45ACP brass I scrounge up if it isn't cracked or smashed. If I reload 4-500 rounds in a session I can expect about 3 or 4 rounds to jam up the ezject tab. No big deal. If I use good brass I have no problems at all.

Mine works like a charm with 45ACP. You do need the #45 shell plate though. The #1 shell plate doesn't work with 45 acp, but works great with 30-06.

ah excellent thanks for the link. i just called hornady and they are not willing to help me out on the price. i think thats BS because my old style system has never worked properly from the get go. i always have to manually grab the finished round and pop it out of the shell holder...

its a 2 week turn around for them to cut my shell plate and get it back to me. guess ill have to pony up and just buy the kit.

If you put a slight bend in it away from you, it will work fine. I do mean slight.

I really only had issues with small diameter cases like .223 or 9mm.  I remember talking to tech person with hornady on the phone about the issue.  He talked like the issue was unheard of.  I had a second wire for smaller cases that I had to majorly adjust to get it to work 100%.  I have a Dillon now.
