Assault Rufler is dead on––Almost all the "my reloaded case won't go easily/at all  into my rifle" posts are describing a problem that the case headspace gauge will cure.

Been using the by feel method for my bolt guns for almost 24 yrs. and use a Wilson gage for my .223 AR rounds and a custom gage for my 6.8 AR rounds.

The OP therein is wrong.  You can't assume that any certain die and shellholder will produce proper headspace, unless you MEASURE.

Not my original material, just a link to Sinclair's.  I've been doing and teaching the "feel" method I guess for years except I use a case gage instead of an actual rifle chamber
