Ok so there a crap load of them. I'm just starting out.. but I need that there are two basic ones. The FL sizing one and then the Bullet seater. Is that pretty much the basic setup? I was looking at the FAQs and such and see that there is the possiblity of up to 4-5 dies. FL expander dies, expander dies(I assume this means neck), Seating dies, Powder dies and Crimping dies... SO MANY OPTIONS!

What caliber are you going to start with?

For 223 get a 2 die FL set.

To this add a Lee Factory crimp die.

Adjust seater die to seat only (not crimp).

Use Lee FCD to crimp.

This is the basic set up.

If I had to do it over I'd get a Hornady 2 die set and the Lee FCD.

FL and seater, all the rest are just gravy.  After you get hooked you can start in with competition seaters, neck dies, bushing dies, body dies...

You can get the Lee FCD in a set with the two regular ones. Cheaper than buying separetley. Most every brand works fine. I run lot's of Lee's and they have never let me down besides with 7.5 Swiss. Right now Hornady is giving 100 free bullets for buying a set of dies so you might consider that.

Well i'm loading .223 right now. I own .40 and .45's but that will come later. I already bought a Hornady press so i got 100 free bullets comming. I  cant seem to find hornady dies however.

I have several Lee sets, but prefer the Hornadys sizing and seating dies.
