Whats the best affordable Press for Loading mainly 50 BMG but also .308 and .223?
Can you use the same press for all? |
|
The press needed to re-load the .50 BMG is usually a HUGH MONSTER of a press. So are the dies. You can get adapters to scale the press for regular dies. But, everything will be very expensive.
Example: http://www.ch4d.com/ https://www.huntingtons.com/dies_bmg.html http://www.impactguns.com/store/50_cal_loading_info.html *pay attention to the thread size. IMHO..........you might be barking up the wrong tree. Start with a regular press and dies............do the smaller rounds. THEN IF........you really love the hobby. Then, consider a set up for the 50 BMG. HTH. Aloha, Mark PS..........this may be the cheapest way to go........... http://www.leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog/browse.cgi?1231047736.3194=/html/catalog/classic.html#50BMG |

The Lee 50BMG kit. then just buy the adapters to reload the others. 223 is the least of my worries as i can usually get it free at work. 308 as well but a little harder to come buy. 50 BMG is what i will mostly be loading due to the expense. I already have 120rds brand new 50 brass. |
