"A general rant. If the shoe fits wear it."

Can everyone stop panic buying?!!!  All you are doing is raising the price on components. Thus raising the prices on loaded ammo.

Lots of things are sold out for NO GOOD REASON! All of you black helicopter people get a grip on reality.

Some of us are trying to make a living at this!

Thank you rant off.

Just frustrating.

I agree with the general statement, but how are you making a living "at this"?

I'd say BO was a damn good reason.

+1   What's the secret to making a living out of buying reloading components?  If you sold them I bet you'd be happy as a clam that everyone is buying, if you made them you'd also be happy as a clam.  What gives????

I'm going to buy some more tonight, if there's anything left.  I got the last five boxes of 210M's on Saturday, and I think I'll buy some more cartons of 210's, 215's, and 205's tonight.  Probably a couple of cartons of pistol primers, too.

Probably more bullets, too.  250 Nosler 69 grain match bullets are still $45 and there are two boxes left.

I am a manufacturer. I hold a type 01 and type 06 FFL and I run my own company called Dynamic Firearm Solutions LLC

I have to get my components somewhere. I am small at the moment and buy from distributors. Soon enough I will be able to buy factory direst, and some of this won't be a concern.

Well sorry for my purchases, but I consider myself an end user, some of my bullets just hit the end of their use today and I now need about 500 more. Maybe 1000 maybe 5000. Oh no Its happening again.

I'm only panic buying because everyone else is panic buying and I don't want to be left out.

There's a reason its called "panic" buying.  The logic switch is turned off and everyone around to flip it back to on, is running around screaming in panic themselves...

Maybe you should find some Capital Investors and then buy from the factories. Maybe then you would quit your bitching. This is a free country and I just exorcised my freedom by buying 4000 115gr. fmj from Montana Gold Bullets

Sorry didn't mean to seem like I was busting your balls.

I just looked at your website and now you have me interested.

The ammo you manufacture is all common stuff, How can you compete with other manufacturers?

What kind of loader do you use?

Do you make enough of a margin on your ammo. mfg. to make it worth while?

small business operation interests me and this is why I ask.

I just get frustrated with the panic people.

I make a profit, but a small one. I make more on custom builds than the run of the mill stuff. 50 Beowulf, 50 bmg, and anything obsolete. I am working on getting a contract to build 20mm. I also sell to some gun stores frangible ammunition so they can allow rifle on their ranges. I also do gun shows.

It is a tough business to get into and compete against the big boys, but it's the niche stuff that can make you the money. There is a lot of sales involved, and trying to get your foot in the door is hard, but it can be done.

I am also insured which is a good advertising point when you are competing with the gun show guys and with retailers.

So, if you make your money on the unusual calibers....why are you busting down on those of us that are buying up the normal caliber stuff?

j/k

I agree with the overall sentiment towards the panic buyers.  I have literally been laughing at some of the 'sales' I've been seeing at the stores and online.  I'm also growing a bit tired of all the newbies, online and off, that are now suddenly interested in guns, and pestering me with questions and such.  (And, some of these idiots voted for BO!  wtf....)

Anyway...

Hey....since loading weird stuff is your business....do you do 8mm Nambu?  I have one of those (Type 94), but haven't found ammo for it, (Well, cheaper than like $50/20), and don't quite feel up to having to wildcat the rounds out of something else...

bump for flamethrowers rant.

Im VERY glad i got all my impulse buying done over the past 2 years.
prices are going CRAZY!
im hearing of ak's selling for 500-600$, even kit builds!
i just checked a few ammo places and reloading places and all i can say is WOW.
best of luck to your business flamethrower. if i was not a handloader my self id throw you some business.
however if you do ever get in with a manufacturer, please let us local handloaders/fellow ranger members know. id rather pay you some markup than another distributor.

I would like to help guys now, but many of the big suppliers make me sign a oem use form. That means no sales of components to others.

Thanks for the interest.

I looked at his website and he had me interested too but I hear he's having a hard time stocking components so he'll be behind on orders   Sorry Flamethrower I'm just kidding and to save you the question, I will be an ass regardless of what you do.
