I just switched my machine over from doing pistol rounds to do a thousand rounds of .223. I changed the powder bar on the machine to the large one. When I am dropping the charge of H335, a small amount of powder falls out of the measure as the shell leaves the die. It's probably on the order of a few tenths of a grain.

What do I need to adjust to stop this from happening?

Is it metering correctly other than that?

I once had a sliver of the plastic jug that the powder comes in get lodged up in there.  If you have a long q-tip, poke around up into the die on that station and see if there's an obstruction.

That's how I discovered and cleared my powder drip problem.

just my opinion but it sounds like you dont have your die adjusted properly try readjusting it other than that there should be nothing falling out good luck let us know

Check to make sure you have enough tension on the wing nut on the failsafe system, you said you had just finished doing pistol so I would guess that there is not enough tension.
Push your handle forward as if seating a primer and with the handle forward the spring above the wing nut should be compressed a credit card should be a snug fit between the coils, the problem most likely is the powder bar is not going completely back and allow some powder to slip thru.

Ok, I'll try all these things while the other half is watching Greys Anatomy.

It can also be caused by cylicling the machine too fast. Pause a 1/2 second or so to give the powder time to drop from the measure into the case.  Make sure the cases don't wobble in the shell plate so they hit the powder die straight on.

Call or email Dillon, their tech support is very good and it's free.

So I turned the powder die in about an 1/8" turn, took static out of the funnel with a drier sheet, and it works good now. I'm not sure which fixed it, but it's taken care of. I have noticed that when I slow down the cycling of the machine the powder charge is more consistent. I do my best to go slow and steady.

I was gonna guess static electricity.

Glad to hear you are up and running.
