What do you guys think of this powder? I will be reloading about 1000 rounds of 55grn .223. I have the Dillon 550B and it is a joy to use. I know alot of you say H335- WHY? Just curious to know why so many use this and not H322. I'm just trying to stock up on AR ammo. No sniper rounds just Military type of a load. Thanks

Books only show moderate velocity with 322 like 4198, and it is a "stick" powder, so you might have meter issues, unless you is hand weighing each charge.

322 will run in a properly operating AR/M16, but 335 be beter suited to the gas gun.

H322 is a little fast for 55 grain bullets in .223 Rem so the speeds produced are a little lower than possible with other gunpowders.

But, it shoots really well and who's to say the speeds aren't high enough?  I mostly use H322 in my Contender carbine but I shoot it in AR's, too.

I use 322 with some 69gr NCC match loads. They aren't super fast but they shoot really well in the gun. Fast powders lower muzzle pressure and reduce unburned powder -- quieter when suppressed

H322 wouldn't meter worth a shit in my Dillon 650. Too inconsistent for this newbie... even
after polishing the powder funnel bowl to a mirror finish...

Switched to H335 and now with in .1 (+-) of target weight.

YMMV.

I use it and it is clean burning.  It meters ok in my Dillon and rcbs powder drop.  Not perfect but good enough.  I like it because I can use it for .223 and 6.8 SPC.

I am a stickler for repeatability of the powder weight thrown and use 322 in my Dillon 550B.  I set my powder weight several loading sessions ago and every time I carefully measure the weight it is exactly the amount I set, not 0.1 grain more or less since I installed the UniqueTek Micrometer Powder Bar Kit.

It is a bit on the fast side but for lighter bullets, it cannot be beat.

It's been used to win more than a few benchrest titles, but with lighter bullets.  The granule size is small so it meters pretty well. Plus/minus .01 in my Dillon.

For me I get tighter groups using H322 in my bolt gun compared to H335.  On the AR I just use H335 because you can get a little more zip.
