[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Powder storage container ?

A friend and I are splitting an 8lb keg of Unique and I'm wondering what I could store my share in. My first thought was an empty milk jug but I think over time light will deteriorate it.

Any suggestions?

Reuse some #1 cans......LABEL THEM with lot # and other info.

Most plastic powder containers seem to have some sort of static-prevention ingredients, because they're otherwise the same material as those staticy milk jugs. I wouldn't go with a milk jug for that reason alone. I like the "reuse an old powder jug" idea-safer and it's really obvious what it is.

If you reuse old cans make sure you dont get them mixed up! Unless ya got an old Unique can.

I would also consider that..........the container should be "opaque."

BUT what do I know.......I just don't want to take a chance.

Store yours in the original keg. Let your bud figure out what he's going to use for his share...
