So I went to the range today, and as I pull into the parking lot it is full of county Sheriff vehicles. Knowing a few of them I asked who was running the range. Went and talked to the Sgt. and struck a deal with him. I cleaned up all their brass! They don't like having to pick it up when they are done certifing. So now I have 45, 40 SW, 9mm, and LC .223 once fired brass!

Now I just need to get my reloading equip. out of the boxes.

You really should tell us how many cases of each caliber you got.

Post a pic.

Then we can score your score.

Instead of a dinner pic, the reloading forum can have a "score" pic.

Sound good?

Good on ya!

Doesn't it just brighten your day when that happens?  If you're like me, you may be found crawling around on the ground giggling like you were 4 years old and it was an Easter Egg hunt!

Well, I can't post a pic, cause I already dumped what I picked up in with all my other brass.  It was probably somewhere between 3-5 lbs. I filled both hands, then I started using my shirt, then I started making rounds dumping off as I returned to the firing positions. It is better when the do the qualifing for the reserve officers. It is usually on a Sat. and they have to run the courses more, or practice more before they qualify.

I have been watching all the "check out my reloading bench" threads. Gathering ideas and taking notes on everyone's tips. Too bad I just found out tonight at work that I might be up for a permanet layoff!

I think it makes sense for the dept to let you have it.  For the scrap value or retail value that they would have gained by picking up, they save in man hours paid out to the officers, just think 10 officers at $25/hr for 15 minutes thats $62.50 for them to pay the officers time to police the brass, way to go saving the tax payer's money!

um, that and FREEEEEE BRASS!
