Aside from making cases shiny, does the polish added to tumbling media have any other benifit?

Speeds the process up.

Don't know about the automotive waxes-polishes but the Dillion Rapid Polish cuts vibrating time to less than half.

I love the Dillon stuff.  I have been using it for about 20 years now. OMG I am old to be able to say that.  I was told when I learned to relaod that it kept teh brass form scrathing the dies, and your chamber.  That rational makes some sense to me but do not know how true it is.

As long as you "dust" the brass off.

I have used Lyman Turbo polish for 25 years and have had very good results, polishing brass.

I really think Iosso makes handgun brass a bit easier to size on top of a pretty nice shine.  For shining up....I really like Flitz, too!

Same with Turtle Wax.  I've used Dillon's Rapid Polish as well as a few other 'tumbling polishes' and they all seem to work well, however, the truth is that the cheapest car wax works as good (and sometimes better) than the high priced spread for me.  YMMV
